What we built for Adoption Services Website Design.
Embryo Adoption & Donation Services of Cedar Park, Inc. came to us with a mission unlike any other: connecting families with remaining IVF embryos to hopeful parents longing for a child. Serving families coast to coast from offices in Washington State and Virginia since 2008, the organization needed a website that could carry the emotional weight of its work — trustworthy, hopeful, and warm — while clearly guiding two distinct audiences: adopting families and donating families. Our goal was to lower the temperature of an emotionally heavy subject and replace clinical coldness with genuine human warmth.
The design is built on a soft, welcoming palette of pinks, blues, and warm cream, paired with a literary serif for headlines and a friendly sans-serif for body copy. A looping hero video welcomes visitors, flowing into gently curved section shapes inspired by organic, embryo-like forms. Real photographs of families and babies from the program — not stock imagery — anchor every page, presented in auto-rotating banners and carousels. Subtle motion brings the story to life: cards that flip into view on scroll, a typed-in scripture verse, sequenced step animations, and sliding testimonials, all timed with a gentle easing so nothing ever feels rushed or salesy.
Beyond the home page, we designed and built a complete twelve-page experience: About, How It Works, What To Expect, Give, Literature, Radio Stories, Stories of Hope (an archive of more than 160 newsletters dating to 2009), News, and free online applications for both adopters and donors. A sticky header with dual “Take the first step” calls to action keeps the path forward within reach, while an inquiry form lets families request a free information packet—mailed with the organization’s book, Souls on Ice. The result is a refined, conversion-focused website that honors the gravity of the mission while inviting every visitor to take that first hopeful step toward building a family.
